St. James' Music Ministries Calendar
The 11:15 Choir serves as worship leaders for the 11:15 service, which is a traditional Episcopal service. This choir rehearses on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 11:00 a.m., and on Wednesday evenings from 7:45 to 9:00 p.m. In addition to regular worship services, the 11:15 Choir sings at special services throughout the year and with other choirs in the area for ecumenical outreach.
For more information, contact Dr. Steven Cooksey.
Corner Chorale serves as music ministry worship leaders during the 9:00 service. The dedicated musicians of the Corner Chorale share in fellowship their time and talent through prayer, music and song. Repertoire of music includes contemporary, folk, traditional, and combined selections with Children's Choir, 11:15 Choir, and youth.
Corner Chorale rehearses on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the Nave.
"All God's creatures have a place in the choir." So do you! Join us. All are welcome to join the Corner Chorale for the church program year (September through June) or seasonally (Advent/Christmas, Lent/Easter, Pentecost). No audition is required. Youth are encouraged to share their instrumental and vocal talents as a part of Corner Chorale or during the Youth Sunday services.
For more information, contact Dr. Stephan Knobloch.
Middle School and High School youth are invited to express their musical talents in praise and worship as part of the JAM, the Youth Music Ministry, led by Geff Garnhart. Click here for more information on this ministry.
The Children's Choir, led by Rachel Newell, serves as worship leaders for the 9:00 a.m. service on first and second Sundays from September through May. The children learn about Episcopal liturgy and the church seasons as they learn to sing and lead in worship.
Please visit the Children's Choir page for more information on rehearsals and upcoming events.
