"Joining St. James'" Membership Class
This class will be offered on three consecutive Sundays: January 29, February 5 & 12, 2012, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and is a prerequisite if you wish to be confirmed or received at the Bishop's Visit on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
"Beginning the Christian Journey"
Taught by Rev. Kate Bryant, this class (to be held on three Sundays: March 4, 11, and 25, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., location TBD) is an excellent introduction (or re-introduction) to the basics of Christian faith and life. It's designed for those adults who have never been baptized—or were baptized as a baby or young child but have had little or no experience of church since childhood -- or for those whose faith might have lapsed but want to learn (or re-learn) the basic of Christian life and practice. Adults who have never been baptized and who wish to be, are, after completion of this class, offered the opportunity to be baptized at the Great Vigil of Easter, our Easter Sunday sunrise service, on April 8.
