We worship the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, through a
variety of styles and liturgical rites. Generally, every Sunday service
includes a celebration of Holy Eucharist. In the Episcopal Church, all
baptized persons are welcome to receive Holy Communion.
Worship is the center of all we do. To use the words of St. Ignatius
of Loyola, we were made to "Praise, Reverence, and Worship God."
Therefore, at St. James', much of our life revolves around worship.
We have three
services each Sunday each with different styles and
highlighting different aspects of our music
program. We also celebrate Holy Eucharist every Wednesday at 12:00 Noon and Morning Prayer on Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
The Episcopal worship follows the liturgy found in the Book of Common Prayer. Liturgy means, "the work of the people" and therefore the people of the congregation join with the clergy to lead worship.
