The longest journey for most ex-offenders is the journey back home; Prison Ministry of St. James' is dedicated to supporting both prisoners and their families (primarily in the local area). This is done by seeking individuals who are willing to assist those who must make the difficult transition from incarceration to productive community life. Prison Ministry, an independent ministry that operates from St. James', works in tandem with other groups, such as Prison Fellowship and other churches in the Loudoun area. It has expanded its commitment from financial aid only at Christmas to other holidays and to helping support children of prisoners throughout the school year. We have participated in Angel Tree, set up a library (a first) in a men's transitional home, and assisted families by paying electric bills and providing grocery gift cards. If you can contribute, drive, or wrap, we need your help.
