COVID-19 Update: Services and Activities Suspended

We are called as people of faith to protect one another, particularly the most vulnerable among us. So, following Bishop Susan Goff’s instruction, St. James’ Leesburg is joining with all churches in the Diocese of Virginia in cancelling all worship services and group activities for two weeks, until March 29.

All Sunday services, Wednesday noon service, and Stations of the Cross are cancelled. We plan to livestream services on the church website and on Facebook Live.

No group/ministry meetings or other activities will be held, including:

  • Sunday School

  • DOCC

  • Women’s/men’s groups

  • Book Club

  • Choir practices/musical events

  • Adult Forums

  • Youth Group (Youp)

  • Ministry meetings

We encourage ministry leaders to keep in touch with their members by phone or email.

Our Preschool, which typically follows the LCPS schedule, will remain open, as will our offices. Pastoral care will continue.

The Diocese of Virginia is adapting to these challenging times, and adjusting worship and service opportunities accordingly.

To protect yourself and others, please follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Loudoun County Health Department

We pledge to keep you updated regularly through emails, social media, and our parish website.

If you have any questions, or need pastoral care, please contact the office, the wardens, or Fr. Earl.
