
This coming Sunday at St. James’ will be exciting! Join us for our Homecoming/Rally Sunday on September 26. Invite others to come with you: your children, grandchildren, neighbors, or work colleagues!
In addition to our regular services at 7:45 am and 10:00 a.m. (with trumpets!), we will be having our FIRST SUNDAY ADULT FORUM of the year from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. For our Forum, Fr. Earl
will be facilitating a panel of parishioners who will be discussing, “The Art and Theology of Spiritual Discernment: Our Personal Stories of God’s Calling.” How do we go about listening and discerning God’s voice in our life’s decisions, stories, and transitions? Join us!
During our Sunday Forum, our CHILDREN and YOUTH will be attending our Christian Formation Sunday School Classes from 9:00 – 9:45. Following their classes, they will be joining their parents at 10:00 in church for our corporate family worship.
After the Gospel Reading, all children (and parents, as desired/needed) are invited to come forward for a Children’s Sermon with me, and then processing out to the Parish Hall to join Rachel Newell for our NEW CHILDREN’S CHAPEL. Following chapel our children will re-join their parents for Communion together as a corporate family.
There will also be Nursery care available from 8:30 – 11:30 with two professionally licensed childcare providers.
Following our 10:00 worship service, we will celebrate our Fall homecoming with our annual OKTOBERFEST hosted by our Men’s Service Ministry!
And on Sunday evening, our YOUTH GROUP will have its first Fall meeting from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
This Sunday promises to be a great, fun, energizing day! Come back “HOME” to St. James’.
